The Nobile GLCR is a proper charger; plain and simple!
This was the last board we tested before loading up the car and headed to the airport, and the conditions were not good with poor visibility and with plenty of moguls to contend with. This was not a problem for the GLCR as it just seemed to power through everything in it's wake as if snowboarding on fresh corduroy tracks.
It is quite a stiff board and not very forgiving, but very stable for charging at speed. We did need to really ride aggressively and fast to get the most out of it, but when we did it was worth the effort.
As a brand, you may not have heard of Nobile, but they have been around since 1994 and produce their boards from the famous NBL Sport factory in Poland. Nobile make some pretty hardcore boards including a race selection. It can be confusing, but they mark their models from N1 to N6, referring to the characteristics and technology to which the models are made.
The Nobile GLCR is marked as N5, which means it has been built like a tank with quality and durable materials such as APS core technology.
You were to only buy one board then this wouldn't be it. But, if you are a dog-eared seasoned-out snowboarder, who wants a kick-arse mountain slayer to add to your quiver, then this could be the board for you.
