The Orb is another all-mountain ski that on test came out with remarkably consistent scores in all categories It's fun to ride both on piste and in the side-country - but clearly there's the compromise that it won't ski groomed runs as well as a piste ski nor will it cope with the powder as well as a big mountain ski. But if you want one ski that will let you dip into both confidently the Orb is worth considering.
Edge hold in short and long radius turns was good and it's smooth and stable at high and low speeds; the Orb performs better when pushed a bit which tends to bring out its responsiveness more.
In short, if you're looking for a one ski quiver the Orb could be it.
