By no means Basic. The YES board is great for beginners and intermediate riders, but also super fun for riders of all abilities who want a board that won’t break the bank.

The name is deceptive

Don’t be fooled by the name, although this is perfectly suitable for newbies, I’ve been riding over 20 years and would still happily shred this snowboard on a trip away.

Great for all-mountain / freestyle riding, the Basic is a true centered twin so lends itself well to switch riding. It has a CamRock profile with camber underneath the bindings and rocker in the rose and tail.

One of the biggest tech advantages you get with the Basic over other similar priced boards is ‘Underbite Outline’ which brings in the edges under the bindings.

The slight disruption in the edge increases the pressure and grip you get on the piste, so you can carve harder without fear of the board washing out on you at speed. It has a medium flex that is easy enough to press & jib and biaxial glass that helps to give the Basic a mellow, non-aggressive feel.
