Rome's 2012 Garage Rocker is an entry level board that suits park best but rides fairly well over varied terrain. The flat camber between the bindings helps with ollie pop and gives the board a stable feel over hits. Edge grip is fairly decent and Rome have managed to tune the board so it's responsive on slow speed short turns in the park as well as digging in on long piste carves. The extruded base is durable and low cost in terms of repairs but isn't that quick to pick up speed when compared to a board with a sintered base. The tip to tail wood core and glass stringers give the board a nice buttery flex with a bit of playful pop for jibs and hits, it's a bit too soft for high speed charging though. The main appeal of the Garage Rocker is its price tag, at this level it will appeal to beginner to intermediate riders looking for a board to step up on.
