Power riders gather round, the Lib Tech Jamie Lynn signature board has just rolled into town. Lib Tech describes this board as being designed for "high speed power freestyle in all terrain". That sounds pretty good but how have they achieved this? First off, the board has been given a banana rocker profile, rocker for pop between the bindings blending into camber at the contact points for stability and control, this profile works well for aggressive power riders but steer well clear if you're missing either of these pre-requisites. The shallow sidecut has seven bumps along the edge a bit like a serrated knife. This cuts into the surface providing massive edge hold but also works catch free on rails when the edges have been de-tuned. The directional twin shape gives freestylability but retains some of the benefits of a tapered edge i.e. stability at speed. The mid stiff flex is once again best treated with an element of aggression but rewards the rider with superb edge to edge energy and good pop over hits when treated right. If you like to ride hard and fast and want a no-compromise board then check out this latest offering from Lib-Tech and Jamie Lynn.
