Burton went crazy last year and decided that snowboards were just too damn long so they cut 10cm off the length of their new board, the Nug. This move divided the community before the board was even released with most people concluding that it was a gimmick destined for failure. A year on and the Nug has picked up a good wood award as well as Snowboard Magazines best in test, so why is this? Well, it turns out Burton were right size isn't everything! They've applied intelligent design and construction methods to make the snowboard equivalent to the snowblade. Just like snowblades the nug is all about turning the fun factor up to ten and forgetting about being faster, higher or gnarlier than your mates. If you want a board to do any of these things look elsewhere but if you want to giggle like a schoolgirl as you pop trick after trick off everything in sight get the Nug.
