The learner driver of the Burton line up, the Clash has plenty of appeal as a beginners quiver. It has a forgiving, progressive and mellow flex that allows you to explore the limits of the board. Burtons 'Cruise Control' edge technology reduces the likelihood of catching an edge which could prove to be a very welcome addition for a newbie! The continuous V-rocker gives the Clash a versatile, easy going nature and the directional shape helps to provide stability when speeds start to pick up. The base is extruded so requires less maintenance and is more durable, the trade-off is of course speed but that shouldn't be too much of a concern for a learner rider. A great introduction to the world of snowboarding outside of rentals.
