This was one of our favourite boards during our team test week in Kaunertal, Austria. The Evil Twin Asymmetrical is modelled from the popular Evil Twin, but with the added bonus of twin asymmetrical edges.
This addition adds an extra dimension, as depending on whether you are initiating a toe or heel edge turn, the power transferred to your heel or toe is different and an asymmetrical shape allows for this, therefore giving an easier and more powerful turn for the rider. We like that, a lot.
This is a stiff board, so targeted more towards the intermediate and advanced riders. It has 3BT uplift on each side for a more balanced ride and feels very stable even at higher speeds. The snowboard did not feel 'chattery' when pushed hard and it slashed through crud easily, even if you're not super aggressive in the turns.
More of a mountain charger than a mellow loose ride, the board is leaning more towards a freeride feel, enjoying playing on the side of the piste. Having said that, we could really lock-in those edges and found it useful in the park and especially in the pipe.
