Who needs gimmicky skis when you've got something like the Q range in your portfolio?
Salomon's Q range is a solid, reliable and trusted product that is also fun to ski on and doesn't ask too many questions of the rider.
The 90 version is the perfect entry level ski for someone looking to get into freeride and off-piste skiing and it scored consistently high scores when we tested it this winter.
They feel very accessible, meaning that a recreational skier who really wants to get their technique to another level will find them easy to turn on groomed slopes and forgiving enough in the deeper snow.
Experts will notice how responsive they are in short turns both on and off-piste and hopefully have as much fun on them as we did. They are really well balanced, hold an excellent edge grip on hard snow and perform really well in the moguls too.
Although they aren't quite exciting enough for us to award them best ski in the all mountain category, for a certain type of skier (aspirant holiday skier who wants to become an instructor or just better all over the mountain), they would make a great buy and provide very good value for money at their price point.
There's a lightweight wood core, tip rocker and early rise tail that give torsional strength, easy turn initiation and good floatation in the powder.
A very good all round ski that would make recreational to advanced skiers, whether on holiday or seasonaires very satisfied.
