Rossignol have introduced the brand new Soul 7 ski for 2013/14 winter season that has got everyone talking.

The first thing that strikes you is the visual aspect of the tip and tail, with a honeycomb effect letting light shine right through the ski.

Initially this might seem like a gimmick and Rossignol claim this system reduces weight, allows the ski to float more in powder and makes the start of the turn easier. Well, whatever it does, it seems to work, because they do float in powder, do feel light as a feather and do initiate the turn really easily.

They are fun to ski on, look really cool and handle piste conditions pretty well too.

The only thing they don’t match up to is at higher speeds on-piste, but that’s like complaining about a beautiful woman that just occasionally gets a bit of her ear wax on your pillow.
