The Pursuit range of on-piste skis from Rossignol has had a makeover and the 700, second in-line after the 800, is a performance ski that would suit advanced skiers who enjoy the corduroy, with the occasional excursion into more variable terrain.
The wood core construction includes a Titanium plate that really enhances the edge grip and feeling of power through the turns, whether that's short or long radius - this ski performed well in both.
Rossignol have included what they call the 'Prop Tech' system into the tip of the Pursuit that comes out of their race department. This is a new development where they cut the top layer of the ski lengthways creating, apparently, more power and control - the combination of the low rocker and high camber in the ski makes it surprisingly easy to turn whilst remaining responsive and agile and they certainly seem to perform as described in the brochure.
Could this be the ultimate easy turning ski that also provides high-end performance at all speeds?
They are without doubt, a ski for someone who loves groomed slopes but is looking to push their skiing to the next level and is good enough to tackle moguls and tough black runs - they would also suit a ski instructor as they are forgiving enough to adapt to turns at all speeds.
