Au revoir Temptation you old temptress you, it's time to welcome an all-new collection of women's specific Rossignol skis for 2019 - the Experience W series.
The Temptation series has basically been replaced by the Experience W collection to bring it in line with the men's collection of the same name (minus the W of course).
The Experience W series is made up of 5 new skis - ranging from 74mm to 88mm underfoot and we were lucky enough to take the Experience 84 Ai W out for a spin at this year's Ski Test in Galtur, Austria.
The Experience 84 Ai W is one of three skis in the new collection to feature Rossignol's new LCT 'Line Control Technology'. The 84 Ti W LCT has a strip of ABS material in the core that runs the entire length of the ski that offers superior edge hold and control when travelling at speed.
Whilst the Experience 84 Ai W does just about sit in the All-Mountain category, it's definitely best suited to frontside adventures and is super happy ripping around the resort. From short bumpy sections to wide open groomers, the Experience 84 Ai W offers a forgiving ride best suited to intermediate to advanced skiers who like to stay on piste.
The All Terrain rocker with camber underfoot makes turn initiation a breeze so if you like getting into turns early and powering through the carve then the Experience 84 Ai W is worth a look. More relaxed, flatter skiers may find it a bit grabby but if you're serious about really getting onto your edges then the Experience 84 Ai W will undoubtedly help you to improve your skiing longer term.
In terms of style, the refreshing teal green/orange colour combo of the Experience 84 Ai W sets it apart from many of the other, rather sombre looking All-Mountain skis on test for 2019. It also means they will be easier to locate after a vibrant après session - winner!
With a turning radius of 12m at 160cm, the Experience 84 Ai W really is a snappy ski that will appeal to intermediate skiers with advanced ambitions looking for a ski that can help take them to the next stage.
