The skinny waist and stability on hard packed snow.
The response at higher performance levels

We enjoy the range of Nordica skis generally and especially the piste orientated models that are powerful and fun to ride. The Sentra S6 doesn't disappoint and are an exciting addition to the Nordica collection aimed at women skiers who are technically proficient and want a ski to carve smooth turns, mainly on-piste.

The versatility they enjoy across different turn radiuses - short, medium, long - is impressive and they seem to love every kind of turn. We never feel unstable or out of control, whatever we try, they really are a fun ski to ride on-piste, but not only highly groomed slopes, they handle bumpier terrain well too.

Their narrow waist offers a smooth extra grip in hard snow conditions and the wide tip and tail allows them to be enjoyed with ease in variable snow types as well. Not one for the powder, but they do the job their designed for with distinction.

Tagged as a ski for an advanced rider (as opposed to expert, the top category), they do run out of steam at the highest performance level and the responsiveness lacks a little when you push them hard. This makes them easier to turn, but stronger performers might find it frustrating.

The good looking topsheet is pleasing to the eye and we like the design. Overall, a good all-round piste ski, suiting a women skier who is improving their carve turn technique right up to instructor level.
