The love affair with the Navigator 90 begins out of the rack thanks to a gorgeous green top sheet that shows off the honeycomb titanal layer lurking beneath.
Even the 90, the widest in the range - the Navigator also comes in 80 and 85 - performs brilliantly on groomers thanks to Nordica borrowing a little of the know-how used in its piste performance Dobermann range. But they are also a fine performer off-piste and float smoothly through whatever the mountain throws at them.
This versatility makes them one of the most interesting all mountain skis out there for this winter, but beware, despite easy initiation into the turns, they can be difficult after that and feel a handful, especially when the speed is ramped up.
We like this powerful feel, but it suits larger skiers more than the lighter ones. In moguls, they certainly feel hard to handle too, being on the stiffer side and less forgiving than softer all mountain skis that are available on the market.
For larger build, strong, advanced skiers who want to hammer the piste but need the versatility to go beyond the horizons, the Navigator are great skis and will help you find your way across the whole mountain, in all conditions and over all terrain - with the exception of moguls that might just cloud the view.
Good value for money at £480 with a ski packed full of tech.
