The Nordica La Nina is the widest women's ski on review during our 2014 ski test in Kuhtai, Austria. It's a serious ski for serious backcountry riders who go fast and hard through the powder on big mountain faces.

With a 113mm width under the boot, the Nordica La Nina (meaning 'the girl', but also referring to a climatic condition found in the Pacific Ocean regions), is a stomping, big-mountain ski that's designed for expert female skiers who love ripping up deep powder fields.

One of our ski testers commented: 'These skis are designed for mega powder and they're are absolutely booming!

'I couldn't believe how easily they turned - even when razzing it on piste. You can throw down big GS turns and they just go with it.'

If you want a ski to handle those kind of conditions but also enjoy the ride home on groomed slopes at the end of the day then these are for you.

Would suit seasonaires in 'big-mountain' resorts who are focused on off-piste skiing.
