For recreational skiers looking to push their skiing to a new level, the Avenger is a very good value choice - and the bindings, which are included in the price, have been designed to complement the skis and flex correctly underneath them to assist your carving.

This is a reasonably light pair of planks that are very easy to ski and will help raise your levels of confidence both on and off-piste; they were also fun in the crud, the 82mm waist being sufficient to handle the terrain away from the groomers although it obviously won't give the float of a pure freeride ski.

Short and long radius turns at both high and low speed proved stable and predictable and the rocker helped in both turn initiation and float in the ankle deep powder we took the ski into.

Nordica market the Avenger 82 Evo at recreational skiers looking to improve their skiing both on and off the groomers, and as such they've hit the nail on the head; add to that a great price and this is a sound option if you fit into that category.

They provide good value for money for anyone who wants to own their skis - a big decision these days considering airline baggage charges, but one that has its obvious benefits, including the confidence that comes with knowing your skis and how they perform in all conditions.
