K2 have created a range of skis that have the same feel and characteristics but vary on radius to suit your skiing style. At17m the Super Charger is ideal for medium radius turns on the piste and, the clue is in the name here, the Chargers all like to be skied fast to get the most out of them.
The construction of an Aspen Paulownia wood core with 2 layers of titanal and a carbon & fibreglass laminate makes for one of the stiffer skis in this category, but they feel very smooth and easy to ski with great damping capabilities.
Turn initiation is easy, and it's still possible to tighten the radius of the turns through pressuring the skis. Even though these skis really like to be rolled on to their edges, you don't feel locked into the turn, and you can feather the turn out if necessary.
They have little or no rocker at the tip and combined with their stiffness, these skis are best kept to the groomers and aren't well suited to venturing off-piste.
The Super Charger likes to be skied fast, but it also likes to make carved turns. It's is not a ski for pottering around on and skidding at slow speeds, but if you want to ski long and hard all day and have solid technique, the Super Charger could well be the ski for you.
