Faction skis are designed in one of the world’s freeride capitals, Verbier.

The terrain here is perfect for testing skis like the Supertonic, well suited to the steep, high-altitude slopes and wide open powder stashes that provide winter round powder snow.

This women’s specific ski is certainly bright and colourful, but don’t let that make you think they’re not a serious big mountain ski that loves to rip up the whole mountain.

The Supertonic is pretty versatile and with a 107mm waist, they are happiest in the powder where they are lively, responsive and fun to ski on.

The relative dimensions of the ski mean that they can handle the piste well too, although our testers found they didn't perform quite as well as some of the other skis in the Big Mountain category on edge hold and on-piste turns and for that reason, they came in at 5th place – still, a good result and a great ski for expert female skiers who like powder snow.
