The clue is in the name - Dynastar's Speed Zone range have been designed for skiers who enjoy fast turns on groomed runs, preferably without anyone else getting in the way.

The 12Ti version is aimed at high level intermediate skiers upwards. But a word of warning, unless you can really handle yourself technically then perhaps best to avoid, because they will be calling the shots.

Larger, more powerful, skiers will certainly get the most out of them. They beg you to speed up and they demand use of the edge - don't bother trying to skid these around like a twin tip park ski, they'll just chuck you out and throw a tantrum. You need to be on them 100% of the time and show them whose boss.

The full word core with a titanal laminate construction offer torsional rigidity and provides that powerful feel through the turn. They have a traditional feel, but with a modern twist, the low tip rocker and lightweight build ensuring a combination of power and agility.

At 72mm under foot, they are more inclined to prefer longer radius turns - we found them a little cumbersome in the shorter turns. Essentially they demand a wide, empty, highly groomed piste that lets you really open them up.

Smaller skiers might struggle more with the transition between turns on the longer models and we'd recommend skiing on the shorter side. Technically advanced, stronger skiers will enjoy them the most and they'd suit instructors looking for on-piste performance too.
