This is most definitely a serious ski for serious skiers. The CR78 Pro is the big brother of the CR78 Fluid that came top of this on-piste category – but that’s not to say this model comes second best. It’s perhaps not as accessible as the Fluid, but for advanced to expert skiers who demand performance on groomed slopes at all speeds then it delivers on every level.
We couldn’t give it higher marks on our ski test for edge hold, it simply grips throughout the turn, even on the hardest packed snow.
At high speeds, your confidence increases as you start to realise this ski will take you with it and look after you all the way. They look smooth and slick which is just the way it feels under your feet when you change from edge to edge, but it’s not trying to be all things to all people.
The CR78 Pro is a frontside, on-piste, carve machine that demands high speed action from someone that knows how to turn.
