Perhaps the nicest thing about the Falke Long Sleeved Base Layer is the soft – nay, plush – material on the inside of the shirt; it’s a real pleasure to slip into it of a chilly morning, and it does a great job of insulating you from the cold.
The shirt also comes with a seamless knit for added comfort, and ‘body-mapping’ zones to keep areas prone to feeling the cold warm and those areas that don’t feel it so much (eg arm pits) cool.
Wicking is also good, the only minor issue I had with the shirt was Falke’s claim that it has a loose fit – I generally take a large, which was what I wore on test, and I found it pretty snug and would have preferred an XL.
But that’s not really an issue at all, simply bear in mind that you may want to get a size larger than normal if you really want that ‘loose’ fit.
And with that you have a very nice base layer for you winter adventures this season…
