The Stand Firm pants are constructed from Dare2B's waterproof and breathable Ared fabric which has taped seams and a DWR finish to further assist in keeping the weather out. They also come with a four-way stretch, so they're very comfortable and allow plenty of freedom of movement even though they don't offer an especially loose cut.
The insulated lining is also stretchy in the upper legs - it's not especially thick though, so you might find you need to wear a warm base layer under the pants in colder conditions.
The Stand Firm comes with belt loops but you can also use the convenient elastic/Velcro side adjusters so a belt isn't strictly necessary. The waistband also has an ergonomic shape for added comfort and built-in EVA foam back protection - although that is probably more useful to boarders than skiers.
Other useful features include two front and one rear zipped pockets, articulated knees, integrated snow gaiters, zipped and tabbed cuffs to make it easier getting your boots on and off and a very small scuff guard.
Other than that final minor criticism though the Stand Firm are good value ski pants with most of the essential features that any recreational skier or boarder is likely to need.
