S1+ – Ortovox

The S1+ is packed with technology designed to facilitate an efficient and rapid search and rescue operation, regardless of whether you end up above or under the snow following an avalanche. The S1+ﾒs intuitive search mode is activated by simply flipping open the unit and then it's just a case of following the clear on screen instructions, with distance arrows and very precise distance information leading you as quickly as possible to the target. Additionally its Intelligent Overview function allows the user to clearly assess multiple burial scenarios to save vital time during a rescue. If you end up buried under an avalanche the S1+ﾒs Smart Antenna technology enables the unit to recognise the position it is in and automatically switch to the antenna that offers the best signal for searching transceivers to pick up, significantly increasing the chances of you being located quicker.
