In a world of all terrain skis its becoming more and more difficult to find a mid-priced ski designed with the recreational piste skier in mind; the nomad smoke does however deliver on this score. The design blends classic ski principles along with some more modern developments to create a ski that is fast yet stable and forgiving. Turn initiation is quick and edge to edge response is sharp due to a 14.5m sidecut radius as well as relatively narrow dimensions across the waist. Once on the edge the stepdown sidewall construction and rocker profile provide excellent and predictable grip. No ski review would be complete without a mention of the softer snow and it’s fair to say that this ski will cope just off the edge of the piste but venture further into the unknown at your peril!
