Held in London Earls Court from 31 October to 4 November, the show promises its emphasis will be on ‘doing’, rather than watching. A Skills Slope, run by the Warren Smith Ski Academy, will be providing skiing and snowboarding tuition at the show, encouraging people to give the sports a go.
‘The Skills Slope at this year’s Ski and Snowboard Show will be the best yet,’ said Warren Smith, director of the ski school. ‘It's been designed to cater for beginners, intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers and boarders. You'll be able to perfect your parallel turns, get your mogul skiing dialled, learn how to ride boxes and maybe even hit a kicker.’
There will also be an ice rink, curling lanes, and beer and wine tasting too, as well as all the top retailers. Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports and The Snowboard Asylum have extended their retail presence at the show and will offer a vast range of 2012-13 snowsports products as well as a full boot-fitting service. There will also be an exclusive The North Face brand store at the show for the first time.
