A fantastic opportunity has become available for anyone looking to work as a ski instructor next winter but doesn’t yet have a qualification.
The brand new course with Snoworks GAP includes a guaranteed job for the winter if successfully completed.
Recreational skiers who can perform parallel turns on marked ski runs can enter the three week program and qualify at the end with an Austrian Antwärter certificate (Austrian Level 1), even if they haven’t taught skiing in the past.
Having a good grasp of the German language is essential as parts of the exam are held in German.
Providing a successful outcome is achieved and the Antwärter exam is passed at the end of the course then there is a guaranteed job with the world famous Arlberg Ski School in St Anton, Austria, through the 2015-16 winter season.
The three week program takes place high up on the summer ski area in Hintertux, Austria with 8 days of training with a top qualified Austrian trainer, followed by 10 days of exams. The glacier at Hintertux operates 365 days a year for skiing and is one of the most extensive in the Alps, offering slopes for all abilities.
Accommodation is in the 4 star NeuHintertux Hotel, conveniently located at the base of the ski lift station.
