"Being able to give people the chance to get out on snow is an important part of why the Ski Club exists. Even if we give one child the chance to experience the thrill of skiing or snowboarding, this is part way to our mission of getting more people into the sport." said Caroline Stuart Taylor, Chief Executive of the Ski Club.
Founded in 2007, the Bursary award scheme was set up by the Ski Club of Great Britain to encourage and help children to discover the magic of skiing. The money was left to the Ski Club by member Thomas Lang when he died.
Schools can apply online and they will automatically be placed into a pool of entries. Six schools will then be drawn at random and asked to submit their reasons for applying for the money. The six schools that receive the bursary are required to write a report about how the money was used. skiclub.co.uk/schoolsbursary
