The gnarly expert-only run, named after mountaineer Barry Corbet is widely renowned as a must-ski by winter sport enthusiasts all over the world.
25 skiers and boarders took to the snow to test their nerve, but out of this elite group, just one man and one woman walked away victorious as the King and Queen of Corbet’s.
Skiers and boarders went head to head for the crowns, but the skiers won out this time around as Karl Fostvedt scooped the title of King and Caite Zeliff was crowned Queen. The competition was evaluated on;
-Speed, commitment and degree of difficulty
-Innovative and progressive manoeuvres
-Control and stomped landings
Courtesy of GoPro, you can see highlights of all the action, shot on a GoPro Hero 6. With first-person footage from the competitors as they plunge into the couloir.
