The Discover Backcountry day, created by Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports is an event designed to pack in as much inspiration and advice about skiing in the Backcountry into 1 day as possible, whether you’re just getting into skiing off piste, or want to brush up on your skills before the season starts.
The team at Ellis Brigham will be joined by a host of friends at the SnowDome, Tamworth on Saturday 5th October to offer many free sessions including the chance to explore and test the latest backcountry gear from top brands, perfect your skinning technique, transceiver training as well as ski films, talks, workshops and loads more. Entry is free but purchased slope passes are required for on snow activities.
Ellis Brigham Ski Buyer, Steve Wells says: ‘the event has been carefully designed to cover everything you need to know about the backcountry. Its aimed at those who are new to Backcountry as well as those have spent some time enjoying all the backcountry has to offer. One thing is guaranteed you will leave the event with new friends, new found skills and renewed confidence for when you skin up and click in this winter.’
Joining the Ellis Brigham team at the event will be Mountain Guides and Athletes; Martin Chester, Matt Helliker and Blair Aitken, expert coaches from New Generation Ski School, Glenmore Lodge and brands including Atomic, Black Crows, Black Diamond, Nordica and many more.
