Open until the end of the season, the Burton Star Wars Experience combines Burton’s Learn To Ride hardgoods, teaching systems and Riglet Park features with Jedi Master Yoda’s methods of balance, movement and control.
At the opening party which focused around the film Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace (recently released in 3D), there were Star Wars-themed crafts, free instruction and the chance to be pictured with Storm Troopers, Yoda and R2-D2.
In the park, kids as young as three can learn to snowboard with the help of Burton’s Riglet Reel, a specially designed strap and hook attached to the nose of youth snowboards, that helps with balance, movement and control. Adults can pull their kids around using the Riglet Reel, helping them to get used to standing sideways.
The Burton Star Wars Experience at Sierra at Tahow is a full-day experience that includes the Burton Riglet Reel technology equipment rental, lunch and plenty of interaction with Yoda and his intergalactic friends for $135 a day (or $81 with a discount card).
