Traditional resorts with a warm and friendly welcome, great value for money and less crowded slopes are just a few of the reasons to venture out of the Alps.  The Pyrenees consists of two main areas – Hautes Pyrenees and Catalan Pyrenees, including 2013’s worlds snowiest resort in Cauterets.

Resort Focus

Peyragudes resort
• Home to the child friendly Balnea Spa – The largest thermal spa in the Pyrenees
• Stunning scenery – views over the Louron Valley
• 60km of slopes

Everything you need is in the centre of the Peyragudes resort, from ski and snowboard amenities to childcare and plenty of off-slope activities. In the evenings many of the restaurants double up as bars.

The French Pyrenees is said to be the best spa destination in France – make sure you take a trip to the Balnea spa which is famed for its mineral rich treatments from hot stones to relaxing in a musical bath!

Grand Tourmalet
• 100km of slopes
• High-altitude
• Iconic Pic du Midi Observatory

Grand Tourmalet is home to the iconic Pic du Midi observatory, based at 2,877m. Enjoy a night of delicious food and star-gazing, followed by an amazing sunrise over the Pyrenean peaks, before free-riding the iconic Pic du Midi descent back to resort (or taking the cable car in the morning if you’re not so brave!).

Cruise 100km of snow-sure slopes from 2 different bases; Barèges, a small intimate village, or La Mongie for a resort with a pulse.

Saint Lary
• 100km of slopes
• Gondola and cable car direct from the village
• Sensoria Rio – kid’s favourite wellbeing centre with waterfalls, canyons, geysers and underwater jets!

Saint Lary is a charming but lively traditional village with plenty to do. Choose from 3 ski zones (Aulian, Bederet and the Combe de Piet) with an impressive 100km slopes and if that’s not enough you can easily visit one of the neighbouring resorts via the easy links.
