Osprey are well-known for their fantastic quality backpacks all around the world. Founded in California in 1974, today the brand continues to produce reliable, environmentally-conscious kit that will keep up with you up mountains, through forests and on any other adventure you can think of.
Perhaps most associated with hiking packs, Osprey also make a range of products especially designed for use in the snow. The Firn 18, also available in a larger 28 litre model, is the perfect companion for long days on the mountain, and has been designed with ski touring in mind.
Featuring a vest-style fit and an ambidextrous, easy-to-use ski lasso system for stowing skis without taking the pack off, it aims to help make those tough ascents and scrambles as easy as the way back down. The Firn also includes features such as front panel access, a top goggle pocket, front panel avalanche tool pocket, dual axe/pole attachments and loads more.
We tested the Firn 18 out in the Dolomites earlier in the year and were impressed with its well thought-out design and innovative features. Take a look at our review for more info.
